The WJ-HL204 is able to record up to 4 cameras real-time with up to a
total of 100 images per second (ips) whilst the WJ-HL208 is able to
record up to 8 cameras with 200 ips (PAL). With 4 audio inputs and the
potential to accommodate up to 3 HDDs per recorder this dynamic system
produces versatile recording to optimise a security solution.
The WJ-HL204 / WJ-HL208 has multiple recording modes to enable flexibility. The emergency recording function facilitates highest priority recording by either the activation of the panic button (situated on the front panel) or by an alarm input. The schedule recording mode allows up to 20 programmes to be set to allow the user to tailor the recording to their needs. Other modes include ‘pre event' with a maximum recording time of 30 minutes and ‘event (post)' recording which is either activated by alarm or VMD (Video Motion Detection). Data Copy to USB memory is also an option, copying up to a maximum of 2GB. The search functions consist of calendar search, record table search, event log search, motion search and go to; these functions allow the user to find footage quickly and easily.
One of the main features of this recorder is the functionality and easy operation to create a user-friendly security solution. This is supported by the GUI (via a PC or front panel) which is designed to enhance the user's experience by creating an easy-to-use, uncomplicated recorder which effectively incorporates all the functions needed. The DVR also includes a comprehensive playback function including playback, pause, frame by frame play, fast forward, fast rewind, and electric zoom.

audio recorded simultaneously. Furthermore, equipped64 with a 500GB HDD
and 8 additional HDD slots it allows up to 4.5 TB of HDD storage to be
installed in the main unit. Further expansion up to 27 TB can be
achieved by adding five optional WJ-HDE400 Hard Disk Expansion Units,
each with 9 serial ATA HDD slots, making the WJ-ND400 ideal for large
scale surveillance systems. With hot plug support, drives can be
replaced without any downtime, allowing 24/7 operation.
Reliable
For high reliability, the WJ-ND400 supports RAID 5/6; enabling image data to be stored across multiple HDDs (minimum 4 HDDs required). If one HDD (or two drives for RAID 6) should fail, recordings can be recovered from the remaining HDDs without any loss of data. The unit also features embedded OS and data encryption.
Versatile, Ease-of-use
The WJ-ND400 is both MPEG-4 and JPEG compatible and enables versatile recording functions including manual, scheduled, emergency, event and external timer recording, providing unrivalled flexible recording options. With a range of alarm actions including alarm recording, e-mail notification, alarm message, terminal output, FTP transfer and camera positioning the recorder ensures that a moment is not missed by users of the system.
To search recordings the intelligent VMD function allows movement in a
specified area in the recorded images to be quickly searched. In
addition, the filtered search function can search a record by Time &
Date, Event Type and Camera number
